What is Happening Inside?

งานทดลองชุดนี้ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากช่วงเวลาที่เราได้อยู่กับตัวเอง ภายในเปลือกที่เรารู้สึกปลอดภัย ความรู้สีกที่ก่อตัวและถูกขังอยู่ภายในที่เราไม่สามารถอธิบายเป็นคำพูดหรือวาดเป็นภาพออกมาได้อย่างชัดเจน ความเป็นไปภายนอกที่ก่อเกิดผลกระทบกับความรู้สึกภายในตัวเรา กลั่นตัวออกมาเป็นความผสมปนเประหว่างความคิดด้านที่มืดดำ และด้านที่เต็มไปด้วยสีสันสดใส

เราเอาความพูดไม่ออกบอกไม่ถูกที่เกิดขึ้นมาใช้ในการทำงานชุดนี้ การพยายามอยู่กับช่วงเวลาตรงหน้าตัวเอง และสนุกไปกับการบีบสีอย่างอิสระ ไปจนถึงขั้นตอนสุดท้ายที่เราต้องออกแรงกดทาบกระดาษลงบนสีที่ได้บีบไว้ โดยไม่รู้ว่าผลลัพธ์จะออกมาหน้าตาเป็นอย่างไรนั้น มันช่างน่ากลัวและสาใจไปพร้อมๆกัน ไม่ต่างจากความรู้สึกที่ซ่อนไว้อยู่ลึกๆ ข้างในตัวเรา ขึ้นอยู่แค่ว่าเราต่างจะรับมือกับสิ่งที่ยากจะอธิบายนี้อย่างไร เพิกเฉย พยายามอธิบายมันอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม หรือแค่ปล่อยให้ความรู้สึกเป็นไปและเข้าใจถึงความมีอยู่นี้

These experimental works are inspired by the recent time I spent with myself within my shell. The feeling is trapped inside and cannot be described in words or clear pictures. Having been influenced by the outside, the inside notion formed a mixed bag of sensibilities, both dark and colourful. 

I used the drive behind my inexplicable feeling in creating these artworks. Not knowing how the result turn out, I tried to be present with myself and enjoyed the process of the paints squeezing freely, letting my intuition lead the way until I feel satisfied with what was before my eyes. The uncertainty of my hands’ pressure on to paper in the last state before the result revealed itself was both terrifying and satisfying at the same time. Just like the matter of how ones will handle it, perceiving, ignoring, forming it into something explainable or just letting it flows and be.
