Bio.

Developing characters and imagery that celebrate the every day and now-moment, Jirayu Koo works in a range of media creation―paintings, screenprints, brooches, murals and sometimes digital doodles things.

As a result of her exploration of imagery, voluptuous characters plus bold and vivid shapes regularly attracts commissions from a wide range of global clients including Apple, Uniqlo, Nike, The Guardian, The New York Times and Wallpaper*.

She is happy in her work as long as she retains her trademark charm and playfulness. In the future, she’d like to use her fun, analogue and digital skills to create large scaled indoor/outdoor wall-paintings, inflated balloons and illustrate her own set of carpets, scarves and blankets.

Alongside her own career, Jira’s unquenchable curiosity for food, culture and travelling finds it’s home on their (she and her other half) Instagram feed, named Kin-Kin — with a focus on edible objects, hidden places & everything in between that which inspires her creative practice.
